Our Process

CHAPTR is the house of education your student needs when they start IB.

Here's what we've learned: parents know IB is prestigious and rigorous. But they often don't know why it matters, or whether their student actually needs a tutor, or how to spot the difference between "they're struggling" and "they need the right person." That gap is where things fall apart.

The Conversation

We start by talking to both you and your student. Not to sell you a service. To listen. Does your student need support right now? Would early tutoring change everything? Which subjects? What's their learning style? How do they think? We're asking because we've been teachers since 1995 and navigating IB since 2010, across classrooms, across countries, and as parents ourselves. We know what actually matters.

The Right Match

This is where most services stop. We go further. We match by subject expertise first. Our Math AA tutors teach the course in schools or study engineering and mathematics at top universities. Our Sciences specialists are trained in IB assessment. But we also character match. We talk to both of you, and then we choose the tutor we personally know who will actually click with your student. Not just someone who knows the subject. Someone who will make them think differently about it and inspire them to actually care.

And here's what's different: we have a global network of native-speaking language teachers. If your student is native Norwegian, Turkish, Mandarin, whatever their language is, we connect them with that native speaker. Even if they're coming to us for Physics or History, they can strengthen their language at the same time. That network is built into everything we do.

What We're Actually Teaching

IB at its best is about inquiry-based learning. Your student learns to think, not repeat. Our tutors are there to strengthen that. Your student should finish a session understanding not just the answer, but why they were asking the question in the first place. That's how your student goes from getting behind to being exceptional.

Why This Matters

IB gives your student an edge in college and in life. But only if they're supported the right way, by the right person, at the right moment. That's what we do.
