IB Tutoring (MYP & DP)
The IB is not a curriculum you can tackle with a standard tutoring service. It has its own structure, its own assessment criteria, and its own expectations for independent thinking. Most tutors don't know it from the inside. We built CHAPTR specifically around how IB actually works.
We cover every subject across both the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme: Mathematics, Sciences, English, History, Economics, Business, Computer Science, and more. Every session is one-on-one, because IB students don't have the same gaps. A group class with five different weaknesses needs five different plans, not one.
Languages are where CHAPTR is genuinely different. Most tutoring services can find someone who speaks a language. We work exclusively with certified, native-speaking IB teachers. For the MYP, that means Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish, among others. For the DP, we cover Language A Literature, Language A Language and Literature, and Language B across more than a dozen languages, at both SL and HL. These are heritage speakers who grew up in the literary tradition they teach. That is not something you find on a general tutoring platform.
Beyond weekly sessions, we work on what actually shapes final grades: Internal Assessments, the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, and exam strategy. These require focused, individual attention that a classroom teacher cannot give every student.

IB SSST Languages
Most IB schools don't offer Language A in heritage languages. The School-Supported Self-Taught (SSST) path changes that. Students can study literature in their mother tongue at full IB rigor, work toward the globally recognized Bilingual Diploma, and come away with advanced literary analysis skills in the language that's theirs.
This matters for university admissions. The Bilingual IB Diploma signals genuine multilingual ability at the highest academic level. Many eligible students never pursue it because families don't know the pathway exists, or because finding a certified native-speaking teacher in a less common language is difficult.
We handle that. CHAPTR connects students and their schools with certified, native-speaking IB educators across 18 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Russian, Swahili, and more. The school keeps oversight and control. We provide the instruction and manage the coordination.

SAT & ACT Preparation
Selective universities have shifted. After years of test-optional policies, leading institutions have reinstated standardized testing requirements. Strong SAT and ACT scores are a meaningful part of a competitive application again.
Here's what makes this harder for IB students specifically: the IB trains you to think deeply, argue across pages, and show your reasoning. SAT and ACT reward something different. Speed. Pattern recognition. Strategic thinking under time pressure. Deeper is not better here. Faster is. Many IB students need to unlearn some of their instincts and learn how these tests actually work.
That's where we start. A diagnostic assessment identifies exactly where your student is. From there, sessions are built around what will move the score: whether that's digital pacing on the new SAT format, evidence-based reading strategy, Desmos fluency in the math section, or managing pressure across the full test. We help students decide which test suits them better, then prepare specifically for that one.
Sessions are available in focused packages so students can commit to the right level of preparation for their timeline and goals.
College Essay Writing Support
The college essay is your student's chance to show admissions teams who they are beyond grades and scores. Turning genuine stories and real thinking into compelling prose takes skill, honesty, and someone willing to give direct feedback.
Our tutors have been exactly where your student is. They wrote the essays that got them into top universities. They know what admissions teams are actually looking for because they have lived it.
Three ways to work with us:
A Single Essay Review gives students with a near-complete draft detailed written feedback, one revision round, and a focused call to talk through changes. For students who know what they want to say but need a clear outside perspective.
A Personal Statement Package takes students from scattered ideas to a finished essay that sounds like them. Brainstorming, multiple feedback rounds, and two coaching calls, one to set direction and one to refine.
A Comprehensive Application Package covers the personal statement plus supplementals across multiple schools, with coaching calls and guidance to ensure the full application tells one coherent story, not five separate ones.
The writing is always the student's. We own the process that helps them do it well.
