Our roots are in language teaching, and we know that language is never separate from the rest of a student’s life. A heritage speaker deepening their Spanish while working through MYP Mathematics also needs time management. A student accelerating in Japanese also needs exam strategy and university guidance. We look at the whole picture.
Our core: Languages
Every language teacher at CHAPTR is a certified educator and a native speaker of the language they teach. Whether you are studying your mother tongue to stay connected to your family’s language and culture, or accelerating in a language you love, you learn from someone who knows the language from the inside and knows how to teach it. Many heritage speakers arrive with strong speaking skills and less practice in reading and writing. Our teachers build on what you already have instead of starting over. This is language instruction, not tutoring.
You can start a language with us in middle school, continue through high school, and carry it into the IB Diploma Programme, including Language A: Literature through the school-supported self-taught (SSST) route. Or you can begin a completely new language. Our summer language immersion program runs across all of our languages. Your mother tongue is not your past. It’s your edge.
