Summer is a rare window—time to step back from the rhythm of the school year and invest in something deeper. At CHAPTR, we design summer with intention and purpose.
We offer two immersive programs for students in Grades 6-12: Global Language Instruction and Academic Writing Mentorship. Both are built on the same principle: exceptional one-on-one teaching with educators who understand the IB, students who think deeply, and the discipline required to build lasting skills.
Our faculty work across time zones globally. Your student works with people who teach at the highest level: IB-certified language instructors, IB examiners, university mentors, and native-speaking specialists. This is not standard instruction. It is the kind of mentorship rarely available outside elite educational settings.
Whether accelerating in a language or building academic writing foundations, students return to school with clarity, confidence, and momentum.
Global Language Immersion (Grades 6–12)
Languages Offered
We teach 18 languages with depth and rigor. All instruction is led by native speakers and IB-certified educators:
Arabic, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Turkish, Vietnamese.
Each program is individualized to your student's current level and academic goals.
Why language matters in the IB
Language learning within the IB is not about fluency alone. It demands the ability to analyze, interpret, and respond with precision. It requires both linguistic accuracy and intellectual depth.
For students in international families, summer offers a singular moment: to explore a language more deeply, to understand their true level, and to make confident decisions about which IB pathway fits best—Language A or Language B.
Many students return to this program across multiple summers, gradually building fluency, depth, and direction. By the time they enter the IB, they are not starting from basics. They have a strong foundation and clear sense of purpose.
What students do
One-on-one instruction with certified IB teachers, examiners, and native-speaking specialists focuses on:
Accuracy and fluency across all modes (speaking, listening, reading, writing)
Analysis and interpretation at an academic level
Cultural understanding and the connection between language and identity
Preparation for IB Language A and Language B pathways
Long-term multilingual development
Students' language work is their own—original thinking, original responses. Instruction emphasizes student voice and ownership.

Who teaches this program
Students work with certified IB Language A and Language B teachers, IB examiners, and experienced international school educators. All instructors are native speakers and academic specialists, ensuring both linguistic accuracy and alignment with IB expectations.

Academic Writing Immersion (Grades 6–11)
Why writing matters
Strong writing is not developed in a single year. It is built gradually, through reading, reflection, and sustained intellectual practice. Yet many students begin serious writing work only in their final years of high school, under pressure, with no foundation.
We believe differently. Students who begin as early as Grade 6 build the insight, discipline, and voice that strong writing requires. They develop the ability to read analytically, think independently, and construct well-reasoned arguments. These skills support success across the entire IB curriculum and beyond.
What students do
Through one-on-one mentorship with university mentors, students:
- Read analytically and critically
- Develop their own academic voice
- Learn to structure and support complex arguments
- Receive detailed, individualized feedback on their writing
- Build a portfolio of their intellectual growth over time
The portfolio is central. Students produce thoughtful, structured work that reflects their intellectual development. This becomes a record of growth and a foundation they build on through high school.
