Korean B (SL/HL)
Students build fluency in Korean while gaining insight into the culture, traditions, and contemporary issues of the Korean-speaking world. They explore themes such as identity, experiences, technology, and global citizenship through authentic sources like articles, media clips, and conversations. At SL, the focus is on effective communication in everyday and academic situations, while HL students extend their skills by studying selected works of Korean literature.
Common Challenges
Students often struggle with honorifics, grammar endings, and natural sentence flow. Listening comprehension can be difficult due to the fast pace of native speech, and HL students may find literary analysis and the depth of assessment criteria more demanding.

Our native speaking teacher guids students through complex grammar step by step, models correct use of honorifics, and provides cultural insights that make learning meaningful. Through targeted IO practice, authentic listening material, and structured writing feedback, students build fluency, accuracy, and confidence to excel in IB assessments.
