Korean
Our Korean tutoring program for middle and high school students is designed to build a solid foundation in reading, writing, listening, and speaking while sparking interest in Korean culture and society. Students gradually develop the skills needed for academic success in high school and to confidently transition into IB Korean B or Korean A: Language & Literature.
Through interactive lessons, media clips, and real-life scenarios, students learn not just the language but also cultural context, helping them connect meaningfully with Korean traditions, current events, and modern life.
Focus by Grade Level
Grades 6–7
Students focus on learning Hangul, developing accurate pronunciation, and building a core vocabulary for everyday situations. They learn simple sentence structures, practice introducing themselves, describing daily routines, and talking about hobbies. Interactive games, songs, and cultural stories keep learning fun and motivating.
Grade 8
Students increase their vocabulary and begin connecting sentences more naturally. They learn to talk about hobbies, school life, food, and everyday activities. Reading simple authentic materials—menus, signs, short messages—helps them recognize Russian in real-world contexts. Listening activities build accuracy and prepare them for faster, more natural speech.
Grades 9–10
Students build toward IB readiness by strengthening grammar, vocabulary, and sentence flow. They work on using honorifics correctly, understanding different levels of speech, and practicing longer conversations. Writing tasks become more structured — short descriptions, personal reflections, and simple opinion pieces — preparing them for the writing demands of IB Korean B. Students are also introduced to current issues, media content, and short literary excerpts to develop critical thinking skills that will support Korean A or HL study later.

Who's it for
This tutoring program is ideal for students who are new to Korean or who have limited prior exposure and want to grow their skills before high school.
