CERTIFIED TEACHERS AT THE HEART OF EVERYTHING WE DO
At CHAPTR, the teaching is done by qualified educators. Our certified teachers have spent years in IB classrooms, marking student work against IB assessment criteria and guiding students through the coursework that shapes a final grade. Our language teachers are certified native speakers who work with students from sixth grade all the way through the IB Diploma Programme. Together, they are the core of our team. For everyday homework, a small group of alumni tutors who recently completed the IB themselves is also available.
CERTIFIED TEACHERS: THE CORE OF OUR TEAM
These are experienced classroom teachers with recognized teaching certification and deep, current knowledge of IB assessment. They know what each criterion rewards, where students lose marks without noticing, and why two essays built on similar ideas can end up a full grade apart. That knowledge only comes from years of reading student work with the criteria open on the desk.

THE WORK STAYS YOUR STUDENT’S OWN
Our teachers know the IB’s academic integrity expectations from the inside. The school teacher supervises the Internal Assessment and the Extended Essay. Our teachers help students understand the criteria, ask sharper questions of their own drafts, and build the skills to improve them. The ideas, the analysis, and every sentence submitted belong to the student.
WHY THIS MATTERS
A Diploma Programme grade is built over two years of coursework and exams, not in the final weeks. A teacher who understands that structure can help a student plan for it from the start.
LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION: NATIVE SPEAKERS, FROM SIXTH GRADE ONWARD
Every language teacher at CHAPTR is a certified educator and a native speaker of the language they teach, with IB training and classroom experience. Students work with them from sixth grade onward: in middle school and high school language courses, and in IB courses such as Language A: Literature through the school-supported self-taught (SSST) route. A sixth grader starting a new language learns from the same caliber of teacher as a Diploma Programme student preparing for final assessment.
Instruction is one-to-one and runs across the full school year. Progress is mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), so students and families can see clearly where a student stands and what comes next. Languages grow steadily, and a year with the same teacher gives a student time to build real depth in reading, writing, and speaking.
ALUMNI TUTORS: HOMEWORK HELP
For day-to-day homework, we also work with alumni tutors: university students who recently completed the IB Diploma Programme. They are a good fit when a student needs a hand with this week’s assignment or a quick check on a concept from class.

How it fits together
Certified teachers lead the learning. Alumni tutors help with homework in between. Most students work with a certified teacher throughout the year, and some add an alumni tutor for weekly homework. Every recommendation starts with the same question: what does this student need this year?
FOR SCHOOLS AND IB COORDINATORS
CHAPTR works with schools to provide certified, native-speaker teachers for middle school and high school language courses, SSST Language A: Literature, and Language B, with one-to-one instruction across the full school year. Our teachers work alongside your coordinator and staff, so the student’s program stays connected to the school.
